Hi!

Just found this laptop while browsing and it looks very appealing, the only problem is, this laptop does not have an SSD at all which is a bummer. There is another laptop from the same series that does have an SSD but only 8gb RAM (the one without SSD is on sale atm so the 8gb ram version is 100€ more expensive).

Laptop without SSD: ASUS N551VW-CN089T = no SSD + 16GB RAM = 999€ (I can get a 128GB SSD for like 50€ so in the end it will be cheaper if it supports it)

Laptop with SSD: ASUS N551VW-FY195T = 128GB m.2 or MSata(not sure) SSD + 8gb RAM = 1099€

as I said, both models are exactly the same (Core I7-6700HQ, GTX960 4GB, 15,6 inch display, same chassis).

Does the CN model actually support an m.2 or MSata SSD or is there no slot at all?

Thanks

Yep it supports it, and its probably m.2 as msata is a dead standard.

Thanks for replying, on some random teardown site(http://laptopmedia.com/highlights/inside-asus-n551vw-disassembly-internal-photos-and-upgrade-options/) I noticed in the pitures, that the slot is not under the quick access panel but actually underneath the back cover, not sure if that goes for this model as well?
