RX 480 Design

Does anyone know if the RX 480 is going to have different designs from different companies or will it always have the same design presented from AMD with the red accents? 

My PC (Big Blue)

Cpu- Amd Fx 6300

Gpu- GTX 960 4gb

Motherboard- Asus M5A97 plus

Ram- Hyper X Fury 8gb 1866

PSU- EVGA 600b

HDD- WB Blue

SSD- MX Crucial 250gb 

Case- NZXT s340 Black/Blue

Different companies will design there own coolers.

Yes they will have custom cards in a couple weeks/month or so, better off to wait then if your not in a hurry to buy the 480. Im not impressed with the card at all but just saying, waiting for GTX 1070 stock and hopefully no more price gouging.

With the Fury X, AMD has said they want the consumer to make their own design with 3D printers. The design of RX480 is similar to the Fury X, so maybe you're allow to do your own too.

Great! Going to be getting a 3d printer so good call! Just concerned on taking it apart

The plate is held on by 4 hex screws.

I would wait for sapphire version of that RX 480.

For sure it will be better cooled.

Hopefully they will put backplate on it.

 

But it will increase price sadly.

Idk where people keep getting this. Nitro 390 constantly sold below the 329 price. Even the most expensive msi and xfx 390 sold below 329. 380x sold for the MSRP. 380 could be found consistently below MSRP. And these prices were not just months after release. 

 

Tl;dr custom 480 does not automatically mean it will cost more.
