The difference for me is the additional HDMI port that the Asus monitor has. I almost payed an additional €70 for it though ;)

If you do want G-sync, these are the ones to look at. Freesync has some cheaper options, but I dont know enough about the Freesync ones to comment

edit: make sure if you're looking at the XB270HU it is the *BPRZ* model. APRZ is TN.

Acer XB270HU bprz - 144hz (165hz w/ new firmware), g-sync, IPS. $616.99 on Amazon

Acer XB271HU - 165hz, g-sync, IPS. $729.99 on Newegg

Asus PG279Q - 165hz, g-sync, IPS. $799.99 on Newegg

ok                L              if the budget is no prob then i'd recommend an awesome 34" IPS 3440x1440 gsync/freesync ( whatever you enjoy )

you'll get a very immersive gameplay

acer is relasing a 100hz soon

there was a topic about that

the only difference is that the freesync ones go down to 40hz instead of the 30hz of gsync monitors.
