I'm looking to transplant Ikaros, our HTPC, into a much smaller case that can slide into a 4.75" tall opening without having to change graphics cards. I'm pretty sure we won't find any Micro ATX cases that can squeeze in there and accommodate a full-width, half-length PNY GTX 750 Ti, but a Mini ITX case with a PCI riser might work. I'm not opposed to changing out the motherboard if there's a case out there that can handle it. Lower cost is better. I'm also going to go by a local secondhand computer shop today and see what they've got--they haven't let me down yet, but I think this is an order a bit too tall for the stuff on their shelves.

TL;DR: Desperately seeking Micro ATX or Mini ITX case no more than 4.5" tall that can accommodate a full-width GPU (with the use of PCI risers if needed).

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Are you going to want to use an optical drive with it?  In any case, you won't find such as case that uses a standard 5.25" optical drive, like in your parts list. At best you'd need a slim-line drive.

A sieve may not hold water, but it will hold another sieve.

Slim is fine. I'm not even entirely against using an external. Our local store is full of slimline drives.
