First of all i know this aint the best place to ask as it is a tech form

so i need some advice on my hair, im only 16 (born in feb) and i have noticed im loosing hair.

long story short i dint cut my hair for about 2-2 1/2 months and i just got it cut last week, then a few days after noticed my hair was coming out really easy.

i looked for some possible answers on why this could be happening and things like stress and genetics were probably the answer. im just about to finish my GCSE's and was fairly stressed whilst doing them.

another idea was genetics but all of my family have hair and non of them are going bald so i dont know about that.

i dont use any products in my hair and ive been using the same shampoo for ages.

its only falling out on the top of my head

what you think i should do?

My speakers dont even fit on or under my desk...PA's FTW

The first port of call is the GP's surgery, you know to check that it's all fine. If you're embarrassed to call up about it, you can go into the surgery and register for online appointment booking. The GP will make some recommendations of what to do and might even prescribe you something. If I was you, I'd bring your shampoo to the GP with you just so that he or she knows the full story.

If it is male pattern baldness and there's nothing you can do about it then you will go bald but that's ok, don't worry about it. What will happen will happen. I have a mate who went bald in our first year of uni, 2 and a bit years older than you. He looks fine btw, he just grew a goatee. Initially it was a huge insecurity for him but he had to just get over it, it wasn't going to change so he made the most of it.

Yeah you should immediately go see your family doctor. If you don't have a specific doctor assigned to you, go to a public health clinic, and get that checked out ASAP.

It might just be regular old male pattern baldness (Though 16 is pretty young for that). But it could be something more serious.

There's NOTHING anyone here can tell you that will do you any good - at least not until you go to the doctor and get a proper diagnosis.
