Gday folks!

This has been through my head many times in the past few years and now it's time to let it out!

Why do GPU or any PCIe card manufacturers still make the slot cover silver????!!!!!

Yeah sure it was fine back in the early 2000's but today, nearly all computer cases have black interiors. How hard is it to ship an expansion card with a black slot cover. I don't care about the LED's, stickers or posters that manufacturers ship with their cards! It just looks so dumb seeing all these amazing builds that you all have and then seeing that one tiny little sliver slot cover. I would pay $2 extra to the manufacturer just to make the covers black or white! In fact, why can't they include a second slot cover in the box that's white so you can choose your color and switch!

I hope many of you understand my minor rant!

If you don't like it then paint it yourself.

Well, while we're on it - Fractal Design Define S black version comes in all black, except for the PCI Express slot covers, which are white. :D

Simply beacause it's cheaper.

And then they would need to make 2 differend cards. One for white and one for black.

 

And if they include replacement for this, you would need to take some screws out, and voding warranty + dammaging card because users are dumb.

 

If you want to have other color, you can always paint it. It's the only part of your GPU that is easy to paint and just can't go wrong.

because not every case is black, so why give some consumers a reason to not buy your product? you know if you unscrew the DVI screws it comes off right?

But almost no cases today are silver!
