How does one upgrade a CPU

Quick question guys,if I upgraded from my i7 5820k to an i7 5960x,do o have to update anything,change the bios or is there gonna be any type of interference at all?

You just change it, nothing else needs to be done.

The computer will say at first boot "New CPU installed" on the bios screen and then its done.

As long as socket is the same it's pretty much like refilling your cars petrol. Take off the lid, put new petrol in, put lid back on and start up your car. The only thing easier than that might be changing your ram but even that can be harder at times.

First, remove the cooler from the chip. Clean the thermal paste off with alcohol, preferably 90%. Grab a sharpie. Write "i7 5960X" on the heat spreader. Add LEDs for up to 20% more performance.
