Intel CPUs will work with both Nvidia and AMD perfectly fine. Do you have your GPU overclocked? From person experience GTA 5 does not like having an Overclocked AMD GPU and crashes within 5 minutes of startup if it is OC'd. Star Wars Battlefront seems a little weird though as its a game that actually performs significantly better on AMD GPUs compared to Nvidia GPUs. That sounds more like a driver problems. Did you make sure to use DDU to uninstall all Nvidia drivers before installing your AMD drivers? AMD will not work properly if there are still traces of Nvidia drivers on your system and vice versa.

Just in case it probably wouldn't hurt to just try reinstalling all drivers after getting rid of them with DDU. Just make sure you only have AMD installed. Do not have anything Nvidia related on your system with the AMD card.

There are many many reasons for why something can be crashing beyond faulty hardware.

Based on your description you are not overclocking. The OC mode from the card is factory overclock which is tested to be stable from MSI. As long as you dont manually change volt to your GPU you are not overclocking. All drivers means all the nVidia drivers you installed when you are using ur old nvidia GPU. You need to uninstall all of them and isntall the most up to date AMD drivers. Crashing most likly is becuz of driver issue.

I'm not sure about SW:BF, but GTA V is very CPU intensive. It could be that your CPU is overheating and crashing.

What CPU do you have? What sort of CPU cooler are you using?

In any case, make sure your CPU cooler is free of dust and that the fan works properly. Of course, airflow through your case can also be a problem.

P.S. Anyone who tells you this old urban myth about AMDcpu/AMDgpu vs Intel/nVidia is someone who doesn't know what they're talking about and you can safely ignore almost anything else they tell you about computers. :)
