Higher Than Usual Idle Temps

Yesterday, whilst in afterburner I noted that my GPU (Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970) was idling at 36 degrees. However, today it's idling at 45 degrees with the exact same fan profile and overclock settings. I understand that this is by no means harmful to the GPU, but does anyone know why this is?

Ambient temperature affected it most likely, maybe also check if the voltage is going up for any reason.

check your background processes, anything unusual running in the background?
 

use the DDU tool to do a clean uninstall and reinstall of your amd drivers

 

then see if the problem persists

Probably just a higher humidity/temperature in your ambience, don't worry about it unless it stays constant higher temps through different seasons.

The ambient temp in my room was actually cooler than usual, so I dunno
