Question about returns

At the moment for students the Apple Store is giving away free beats headphones with a Mac with a valid student account so my question is. Could I buy a Mac, keep the free gift and return the Mac for a full refund? I know a while ago I returned an opened iPad for a full refund.

If they are like any of the most recent stores I have worked for, all conditional items (gift cards, products, services, etc) will be noted as 'offer' on a transaction history and will be expected to be returned as well.

Edit: Beyond that, shame. This is why we can't have nice things.
