I'm building a new pc and I was thinking whether I wanted a 40 inch true/native 100hz 4k TV or three thin bezel 24 inch 1080p monitors I will be putting two gtx 980 TI's in it so it has the power and I will be playing GTA most of the time. it would be greatly appreciated if you could help me choose which one to get.

100Hz TV is not actual 100Hz refresh rate (watch tech quickie video about this subject), have you considered buying a ultrawide 4K display ?

I'd also add that using a TV as a display adds a lot on latency

I think you mean 3440x1440 not 4k ultra wide which is 5120x2160.

Op multi-monitor is good for productivity but for gaming I definitely would be going for 4k, bezels also take away from the experience and become increasingly annoying imo.

Your asking a very subjective question though.

5120×2160 would be a 5K resolution :)

Yes, 5120×2880 is also a 5K resolution.

So 3440x1440 is a 3k res?

I don't get this Wikipedia says

"4K, refers to a display device or content having horizontal resolution on the order of 4,000 pixels and vertical resolution on the order of 2000 pixels."

Yet you scroll down the page and it lists a bunch of "4k" resolutions in there aspect ratio's which 5120x2160 is there as the 21:9. Then you go to 5k and it has 5120x2160 there as well! Really contradicting and i know wikipedia isn't necessarily the best source but it's just easy.

So WTF is the 21:9 for 4k?

Wikipedia is wrong in this case. Most of the wikipedia pages about resolutions have some amount of nonsense in them, actually :P

4K is any resolution approximately 4,000 pixels horizontally, that's all there is to it.

4096×4096 (1:1) is a 4K resolution

4096×3072 (4:3) is a 4K resolution

4096×2560 (16:10) is a 4K resolution

3840×2400 (16:10) is also a 4K resolution

4096×2304 (16:9) is a 4K resolution

3840×2160 (16:9) is also a 4K resolution

4096×2160 (~17:9) is a 4K resolution

3840×1600 (24:10, or ~21:9) is a 4K resolution

5120×2160 and 5120×2880 are 5K resolutions.
