Overclocking a dedicated PhysX Card

My rig has a GTX 690 with a 3-monitor surround in 3840x1024 on GPU-a and GPU-b matched in SLI mode with all monitors connected to GPU-a, then I also have a GTX 550Ti installed as a PhysX dedicated card with no monitors connected.
Is there any point in overclocking a dedicated PhysX card?  Is the dedicated PhysX GTX 550Ti a good match to the GTX 690?
With my P8Z77-V LK Motherboard, do the slots I use matter much?  PCIe lanes? I have two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots and one PCIe 2.0 x16 slot but the two x16 slots as I understand will only run at x8 lanes if both populated.  Does this mean I should run my PhysX card in the lower 2.0 x16 slot?  Or does that mean it will only run at x4 lanes?  so confused and trying to optimize this rig...

There really isn't even a reason to have a dedicated physx card anymore.

 

I would sell it then get a better cooler to oc that 2600k.
