I waited a bit too long to order parts, it used to be $800 and has recently gone up $50. Any way I can get that money back without losing performance? It's for 1080p, 144 Hz, FPS games, will be overclocking.

Buy some parts that Jet.com sells and use their 15% off coupon.

They don't sell everything computer related but you can order a few things ,get up to 30 bucks off. Order something else and get another 30 off.

Just saying. Plus more than likely you'll get your parts from newegg anyway. Jet uses other companies to fulfill orders. I ordered my 6700k off them and abused that 15% off on it.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

No, he should buy the HDD later, and still have 16gb of ram

Unless you close all browser windows (Looking at you chrome) before gaming, you will probably end up going over 8gb.

when playing Call of Duty: Advanced warfare (i know its a shitty game don't judge) My RAM use is ~10.5 GB with a few browser tabs, Spotify, skype, and steam open.

Only 8gb of ram is a major inconvenience, and the HDD will only be needed a few months into the future, when room on the SSD is low.

Don't try to save yourself 50 bucks.... I know not everyone can afford everything. budgets are important.... but go mow some lawns if you need 50 bucks. or shovel sidewalks. or collect bottles. or haul garbage.. or some other manual labor task people don't like doing.  you can make 50 bucks in not a lot of time if you're willing to put in a couple extra hours. Would be a real shame to cheap out on an otherwise nice computer over 50 bucks.
