Hey guys. I'm trying to configure my front RAD fans for my Corsair H110I. I want to assume out of the three temps listed on Corsair Link the highest one (temp #2) is the CPU temp. However, When I set my fans on temp 2 under the balanced setting, they run pretty much maxed out making my rig sound like its about to take off into the sky. can someone please help me configure the best settings to maxamize cooling performance while keeping my rig from taking off?

the cpu temp is the temp under where it says "AMD FXxxxx" If you set a profile linked to that temp, it should work

Yes, according to HWMonitor, your *more accurate* CPU temperature reading should be Temperatures >> TMPIN1.

Your should be able to create a custom fan curve within the corsair software -- could you post another screenshot of that?

try manually tweaking the fan curve

Well on quiet all I here are my 3 140MM thermaltake fans. but on balanced mode they are are running full tilt. I dont know where to set a curve in link. If I click on the fans it tells me where I can group them too.

From what I know (having messed with the Gigabyte GA-990FX-UD3 Rev1.2, and a little bit with the GA-990FXA-UD5 R5, yes TMPIN1 is more or less the CPU temperature that is shown when in the UEFI (BIOS).

Either TMPIN0 or TMPIN2 is the motherboard temperature, and what is left over should be for the Northbridge chipset (e.g. the 990FX chip).

I cannot 100% confirm where the Package temperature is coming from, but showing temperature readings of 0*C or below ambient temperature (which breaks the law of physics when on water or air cooling), that isn't right...

All these people that can afford $1000 gaming rigs, but not a $10 temperature gun.

Let your PC idle, check the temp listed at it's coldest point, and then go check what the bios reads at idle. If they're close, then your temp is probably accurate enough.

Your fan shouldn't be spinning very fast at a mere 50c. I'd be willing to bet that it's an issue with the fan itself. If it was doing it's job and spinning fast enough to make enough noise to matter, chances are your temps wouldn't be that high, right?
