i5 6600k vs i7 6700k
Just because a game will use more than 4 cores doesn't mean a quad core CPU will hinder your performance. Besides, the two CPU's asked about are both quad core CPU's, making an argument about more is not helpful to the op. In my opinion, any performance gain from a 6700k over a 6600k in gaming is not worth the extra money. There are still very few games that take advantage of HT, I have yet to play a game my 6600k can't handle.
