Parents won't let me spend my money?

Go work somewhere without them knowing it. Or just tell 'em it's your money and you do whatever the f you wanna do with it, period. You're 14, you must learn to stand on your feet because if you don't do this now, it'll be so much harder later - trust me, I learnt the hard way.

My parents tell me this all the time, especially in the past few weeks since we installed new windows. And we took quite a hit finacially, owing like $3500 in home depot and lowes.
