Hi all,

I was curious if you think I would be allowed to use a still from the old kitchen set as a background on my upcoming videos? I'm currently starting out so I cannot create a good set right now, so I have been using a green-screen instead to replace it with white to a slight gradient of grey. Anyhow, any input on this would be great - if a member of the team can reply too, that would be outstanding!

For the still in question; here it is: http://imgur.com/a/vwakR

Sincerely,

Aidan

No it's not, this is a still image I took from a previous LTT video after they moved from their old home into the current office. I was curious, being as they no longer use the set, are we permitted to use it? Though I fully understand if not as it isn't ours in any way shape or form.

I'll say it again - I have no objections, that's your kitchen after all ;)

Don't see why you shouldn't be allowed to use it :P

But might as well PM Nick (nicklmg on the forum) to be sure

Personally I think it might be kind of weird.  Plus, you know how the internet is - short tempered and vengeful.  It just takes one person to take issue with "this new guy" using the "almighty's background" to start a movement against you :P  For that reason, I wouldn't personally, but I feel like Linus and the crew probably wouldn't care too much.  I mean, it's not like that background, or that kitchen is a trademark, is it?  @nicklmg

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Thankyou for the swift reply, I understand about the people who may not like the idea of somebody else using such a popular set, I may try to find another, but I was just curious as it seems like a perfect background to use, and most importantly is realistic. I cannot for the life of me seem to find any realistic backgrounds similar to it. Also, thankyou for tagging Nick in this, I've been a member for a while but haven't really used the forum, I didn't know how to do that :)
