Dektop pc network randomly dropping out

SnipeYa

So I've noticed my current mobo (Asus H81M-PLUS LGA1150) has odd network drop offs every now and then (maybey 5-10 times in a whole day) and the way I have found to fix it is by disabling and re-enabling the network adaptor.

From memory it says there is some sort of DNS issue, But it only happens to my desktop, while its dropped off my phone and nas have perfectly fine connections. Where should I be looking to get details/resolution for this issue?

have you tried updating the LAN drivers?

also disable the power saving feature in the LAN properties

Only just had the board given to me a month ago where I installed the latest.

Have disabled power saving options, Will have to wait and see if that fixes it.

It's a software/firmware thing. To fix it each time all I do is disable then re-enable the adaptor, It it were a cabling/port issue that wouldn't work.

do you have any spare LAN cables in the house to test?

swap the cables and the port which your cable to connected to the router
