Asus PG279Q or Acer XB271HU

is2910

Hi Guys,

I sold of my Dell U3415W 3440x1440p monitor and I'm looking to buy another monitor and have come up with either Asus PG279Q or Acer XB271HU.

Which will be a better monitor or should I go for a 4K monitor?

21:9 support for games are pathetic.

I'm running x99 with titan x sli

Share your opinions guys.

Thanks!

good to know...i knew already tho :P

anyways...those monitors you are looking at are very similar and it's a matter of luck to get one with no deffects (backlight bleed, IPS glow...dead pixels etc.) so i would go with either the one that is priced the better or the one you think look better in terms of the case and stand since they are pretty much the same panel with a different stand.

Its a matter of choice between high fps (100+) or higher resolution.

I am on the higher fps side, so I ended up not buying 4K monitor and went with 1440P instead (had Titan X and changed to 980ti SLi, Titan X in my workstation PC)

Anyway, as for the comparison of those two monitors, ASUS PG279Q has lower input lag, which is very important to me at least, so I ended up getting this monitor and would recommend it.

PG279Q :)

I'm an Asus fanboy though so take my opinion with a grain of salt :D
