New Macbooks?

I know most people here are PC/Linux master race, but anyone else know where the hell are the new Macbook Pros. Reason why I ask is for Final Cut. And the new "Macbook" 1 port bullshit isn't going to cut.

You can't edit on anything except a Macbook Pro or Mac Pro. Everything else is horrible at it. Thermal throttles, limited storage, underpowered. Just bad all around. If you can pony up $4K for an old xeon and DDR3 then by all means buy an aged Mac Pro that is insanely overpriced now days or a macbook pro. Which if you want to do any type of video/photo editing you need a 15+inch screen which they got rid of in 2011 for no reason. I would wait for new Macbook Pros and Mac Pros. Anyways Final Cut is way better then Premiere you just have to have a mac powerful enough to run it which surprisingly isn't much. Apple optimized it like crazy so even my dual core 17inch from 2008 edits easily.

You can edit perfectly fine 4k perfectly fine on the new 2016 Macbook. That's how optimized final cut is.

If you are going to buy a laptop only get the macbook pros, if you are going to get a desktop only get the Mac Pros. Everything else the price to performance is horrible and having only 1 connector or 3 is just stupid

Ummm a MacBook is a PC. PC= Personal Computer and guess what the MacBooks is, it is a personal computer.
One of the biggest cons about them are the "cooling" they have, if you can call it cooling.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

I was waiting for them too.  Finally decided to just say screw it and picked up a Macbook with a 512Gb SSD for work.   I need portability more than raw power anyway.   

 

I was honestly expecting them to announce something around WWDC, so maybe in the next couple weeks...
