BF4 beta only in x64?

My friend has a 32 bit operating system (windows 7 pro) but the beta says x64 next it. When he tries to install it, it tells him his operating system isn't supported. Does he have to wait until full release? Or can he not play the game at all?

Make him upgrade to 64 bit.

Vista 32 should be supported, but probably not for the beta. But the key is for both x86 and x64, so if his hardware can use it, just install the 64 bit version with the same key.

I don't think he will be able to at all. It times to move on, 32 bit operating system can only handle 4GB of RAM and you need more than that to game. Especially on next gen games.

Ouch that would be the reason i assume the full version will have both 32 and 64 bit exucutables i would think so no beta for him unfortunately

wow thats gonna so make Microsoft some money all those people that don't know any better and they just got 32 bit but can actually play BF4... probably on low settings but there will be minor complaining i can see it

Actually the beta is only 64 bit, the retail version has a 32 bit exe and a 64 bit version

 

"Note that you are required to run a 64-bit OS to join the Battlefield 4 Beta on PC. As a studio, we wanted to focus our efforts on testing the 64-bit version of the game. The full version of the game will also run on 32-bit Windows OS."

i wish they just not release a 32bit ver. this way atleast the gamesr will have to get up to date and move on from old 32bit.

Like said, beta is only 64bit. Imo thats good choice since pic @xOAT posted shows that min requirement for ram is 4gb and since 32bit can only use 4gb, I don't see point having 32bit gaming system anymore. Or any other system.
