will it bottleneck? planning a budget build for my friend

what would you reccomend? I have $150 to spend on a cpu and $80 for a motherboard

thats what I want to do but not sure if the launch will be like the 1080 where on amazon it is $1000 on amazon and sold out everywhere else

Personally, if you're going FX, get an FX-8320 and a good 970 motherboard.

i5-4460 / i5-4440 and a h97 motherboard.

Personally, if you're going FX, get an FX-8320 and a good 970 motherboard.

i'd also not recommend FX anymore, but cant quite beat the price of that chip can you?

Yeah, I hear higher-end AMD's just love entry CPU's. No issues with CPU overhead at all.

wait for the RX 480 - it will be 100$ cheaper for 30% more performance.
