How can I fully back up my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge?

Hey I need to fully back up my phone to a computer as I need to get a replacement since it's faulty. I've tried samsung Kies but it won't let me since it says I need to download a silly app assuming I want to transfer from phone to phone... Any other free suggestions? Thanks! (I don't mind if it's for Mac or Windows I have both).

Although this is a guide on downloading and reflashing your firmware, it also includes instructions on how to perform a full backup using Samsung Smart Switch.
