Stuck pixel.

Emillionaire

Hi forum..

Just got the BenQ 24" LED XL2430T and after using it i found out that it has a dead pixel.
(a tiny, tiny little red dot.)

Honestly i dont know what to do really.

I can refund it, but then i have to wait several weeks and i have packed the thing out and taken of the protective film.

I'm currently trying using UndeadPixel 2.2..

Any suggestions?
If refund, then how should i do it?
I do have the box and so, but i took the protective film of the monitor on the back and so.

no need to put it back on just throw it on with tape if you are worried.

Do you need to? In Finland its not that strict, if its broken then it doesnt need to be packed like it originally was.

Winning an argument with a woman step by step

step one - talk to her

step two - fight with her for 2 hours even if you are really right

step three - admit that she is right for the sake of your safety

step four - realize that you have accomplished nothing and she still thinks you were wrong and now she thinks you are even more stupid

Thanks for the help.

I will try letting Undeadpixel run for some hours and try to fix it. (its stuck not dead)
If it doesent work (i dont think it will) then i will return it.
Tips to fix are welcome.

Return it as nicely as you can I guess

Where I live we need more than 3-4 dead/stuck pixels to qualify for return/exchange as a defective unit.

Well, there is only 1 stuck/dead pixel but it is pretty mutch in the center.

(i've drawn a dot (bigger) on the picture below for you to see the placement.)

What did the seller description have for the item? I've two XL2430Ts and the first has a stuck pixel but it's near the bottom so i don't mind it.

Bear in mind the seller description did say it was a used/ex display item so their might be some issues with it.

Uhrm, i bought it brand new from scandinavia's biggest electronics webshop, so i think i'll be fine. (komplett)
My stuck/dead pixel is quite close to the center so i think that they'll take it.
As far as i understand, you need at least 5 broken pixels or a single in the center.

Yeah they should take it just fine then. The rules for stuck pixels vary by retailer iirc.
