Best Budget GPU for folding??

So what is the best used or new GPU for F@H for the money? Im looking to get into it again and I want lots of power for the money

To be honest. I would choose the GTX 760 or the Radeon HD 7770. Both are really good value for money when it comes to PPD. You can get 64K PPD from a GTX 760. It uses 175W which is pretty good power efficiency and has no problem with cooling. If you get the reference version like I did it may be a tad noisy. I've seen Gigabyte GTX 760s going for £90 though.

 

It'll probably be cheaper in 'MURICA than the conversion says because the UK is shit.

Honestly, your best bet would be those second hand Gtx 970 that are going around for cheap, now that people are flipping over the 1070/80 and the RX 480. Great in both PPD and PPW.

I used to use a 750 Ti before I stopped and I was getting 55-70K PPD

I agree.  Good cards get several hundred thousand PPD for similar power consumption to things like a 750 ti or 760 which pale in comparison in terms of performance.
