Need some help with this build that I will be building in a few weeks. I am willing to go with an APU to get rid of the cost of the GPU. This machine will not be a gaming computer but will just be a basic computer. Thanks for the help.

So if you don't plan on doing any gaming then yeah just get rid of the 750 ti. Also $100 on a cpu for basic computing is a little overkill. I would look for a cheaper one around $50 your total cost would be around $250.

you will want some bulk storage for that PC so just throw in a 2 or 3 TB HDD

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Well I meant it would not be built for hardcore games. So with this information I could go with an APU.

I doubt he will need more than 240GB, I would rather have him get relatively small and fast storage than big and slow storage.

you WILL need more then 240gb, trust me. pictuers and stuff take up loads of space. it will ofc be less with no games but after a while stuff adds up

An SSD will be perfect but I would recommend 500gb of space.

OK I see your point, but I think it should be fine. I was thinking of adding a flash drive for other stuff since they are cheap and give large storage.
