My specs :

Processor            : Amd Fx 8320 (oc 4.2 ghz)

Graphics Card     : gtx 960 (oc : core clock - 1486mhz, Memory Clock : 2000mhz)

Ram                      : Corsair Value select ram - 8gb ddr3

Mother board      : gigabyte 970a-ds3p

I had a corsair vs550w psu which unfortunately burned out due to unknown reasons, i speculate because of over stressing, i wanted to know if seasonic s12ii 620w  is a good power supply and will it be able to cope with my system and overclocks.

I also wanted to know if Cooler master hyper 212x is a worthy upgrade over the stock cooler that amd provides.

Last but not least can anyone suggest a good cheap cabinet for the config.

Not surprised the VS550 burned out, it's a PSU of rubbish quality. The S12II, on the other hand, is a solid quality power supply.

The cooler would likely give you greater overclocking headroom whilst being quieter. Then again, probably wouldn't push the CPU anymore on that motherboard.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

Seasonic's are good power supplies.

The CM Hyper 212 is one of the best bang-for-the-buck coolers.

Any case that floats your boat. :)

That motherboard is not a very good overclocking motherboard. I wouldn't worry too much about overclocking on aftermarket cooling. You can get a Hyper 212 but don't expect that to make it safe for that mobo to overclock much.

For a case you can get an NZXT S340, Define S, etc, just get an atx case that fits your preferences.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
