Only able to afford 1 of these games to play .

pls help me choose 1. wanna follow the gaming hype !!

thanks all

They are from 2 very different genre though, Overwatch is a fps-ish game that is a bit similar to TF2 but with more character/ability etc. Division is a 3rd person shooter - ish with RPG element making your damage as high as your gear so you could literraly spend all 600+ bullets on one boss and still havent kill them.

As someone who own both, I've stop playing Division for a while now since it turn into a grind, and Overwatch seem more fun/casual to play for me. So I would choose Overwatch.

csgo and halflife is almost the same you know... Overwatch is abit more casual than that, as each character have different weapons. There's some that dont even have guns but have hammer, rocket launcher, gernade launcher, electric gun etc instead. It kinda hard to explain, just watch a gameplay footage of the game and you should get a general idea of it.

They "kinda" have leveling. Level up mean absolutely nothing except maybe you will got matchup with higher rank player (though I think it also consider your K/D and win rate etc as well). Each time you level up you got a loot box, which give you random 4 things ranging from voice line, spray to skin, emote of the characters/heroes in the game. It's pretty random, and all those thing are just cosmetic so you wont have to worry about pay 2 win. There's no level cap, after rank 23 the exp require to get to next level dont increase anymore so it took about 1.5 hour per each level (around 8-9 matchs) so you can pretty much earn loot box forever lol

There's no story mode though, the game is pretty much PVP only. But it's not really "hardcore" since the hitbox is pretty generous and all the ability and stuff.

There's a total of 21 heroes right now, and Blizzard have said that newer heroes and maps will all be free for everyone.

First ever post! anyways, Overwatch is a blast but I can only recommend it if you have friends to play with. that being said I've been playing for days and the 21 characters are very different so it takes some patience to master them all, which is awesome!

Overwatch is great, especially if you have friends to team up with. There is a lot of replayability since there are so many unique heros to play as, and it's just fun. I haven't played The Division but it seems like a lot of people stopped playing it fairly quickly. I'm predicting OW to have a longer lifespan

edit: and if you dont have a lot of friends who game / have overwatch, just hop in and add people you meet when solo queuing. the community seems way less toxic than some others.

Division is really good, I play with friends and havent had any issues for my 30+ odd hrs. As for overwatch I played it for about 20mins and it feels like tf2 personally. Id say get division personally.

Overwatch easily.

The Division and ubisoft as a company has gone down the shithole the past couple years. The Division, along with R6 are filled with hackers and numerous bugs that aren't and haven't been fixed since release.

Overwatch has solid gameplay, great optimization, constant entertainment and is something that people aren't going to toss in the trash for a very long time.

Spoiler

I have both, whilst the division is good, overwatch destroys it, though they are both different games.

I've been playing solo pugs almost exclusively and have enjoyed myself. I only know a few people who play but ended up meeting more people who just wanted to lobby up for better team coordination and composition. It's a very fun game IMO, and something I've already invested 30 hours into with no plans to slow down.

If you do get OW, I highly recommend watching a few videos from high level players to get an idea of how to play. I have 1200 hours in TF2 and was a Steel/Gold level player, but that skill didn't exactly transfer over to OW. A_Seagull and Ster2 are currently my favorite streamers and players (both also former TF2 players).

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

The Division:

+ Coop Campain with Friends

+ Awesome Graphics

+ Gun Porn

+ Upgrades and Skills

- Hackers

- Overall Design of PvP is bad

- PvE Endgame is repetitive as Hell

If you want play the Campain with Friends for 20-30h - Yes

If you want play the Campain alone - No

If you look for PvP or good Endgame Content - No

Overwatch:

+ balanced Gameplay

+ nice Graphics

+ many Heroes

+ top Performance

+ high Quality Product

- not many Maps

- Rounds very short

If you want a good Multiplayer Shooter that feels like TF2 on Speed - Yes

I see no Reason for a No
