5k Video Editing PC

Hi All.

 I'm looking to buy a new PC and wondered if people could share their thoughts on what parts to use.

 I have a budget of around £5000 and live in the UK.
 I'll be using the machine for video editing (4k), colour grading, audio production (for video), photography and VR video creation (not 3D).
 I'll need two monitors, at least one 4k.
 I won't be using parts from my current setup as my wife is having it to edit rough cuts on, but keyboard, mouse, sound card/external device and speakers will be on top of this budget so not needed right now.
 
 I'm happy to be guided quite a bit but have been looking at the GTX 1080 recently, seems to be performing well, not stuck to that idea though.
 

 Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Heres a quick build. If you want to spend more you could get something like a dual xeon rig. You could also get the 6950x.For video editing you don't nee d aultra fast gpu.

Thank you Electronics Wizardy, I'd prob add a couple more drives to this. I tend to read from one and write to another and have one for the cache. It's a good starting point though.

Are you doing any gaming on this pc ? Or is it purely a workstation ?

Purely a work station, will use current PC (that wife is having) for heroes of the storm, only game I have time for these days.

I don't know enough about Xeons and Quadros to know if it'd be better to go down that route instead?
