GTX 1070 vs GTX 970

Chewique

So im just wandering if minecraft is optimised for the the 970 as it seems to get very high frame rates! Im getting a 1070 and i was hoping that it will be the same or even better.

there is this video i found where a guy runs minecraft on a 1080 and it seems to get only 30 fps!

Why?

the frame rate from this video could possibly be due to the screen capture software, since i have no idea what CPU he's using, the CPU may be bottlenecking the frame rate.

If you're just going to be running minecraft, even a 750ti would do just fine.

He gets low frame rates because he's a dumbass, if you check the settings you'll see.

@Wander Awaythe guy uses a 6700, video description...

Do you use custom shaders with your 970?

970 for Minecraft is overkill

970 will still remain quite relevant for at least another 2 years, specially in 1080p gaming.

Oh ok, I didn't understand that part...

Did the benchmarks you saw with the 970 have custom shaders enabled?

Yeah

Anyway, don't worry about it, you know the guy has 0 knowledge when he has Vsync on while trying to benchmark.

It's ridicolous
