Ok I was a bit overexaggerating with 250$, but the ZenBook UX303LA is very similar for 120$ less:

Theres the XPS 13 if you can do away with thunderbolt

Basically the same price...he said $250 cheaper :P  in fact on amazon the mac is £10 cheaper, and in the UK 13" air is £849, XPS 13 is £874

 

Or a retina pro for not much more

The prices are mostly consistent across amazon, dell, us, uk europe etc

there are exceptions, but in general
