Hello,

I work for a company and travel a lot. Most of the times I am several months abroad. The compay provided me with a Laptop wich is great for work but with no dedicated graphic cards its not enough for me.
My company would pay an extra bag for my flight, and if the other bag is my "gameing setup" so be it.

A big bulky laptop like Alienware or on msi has the advantage of being portable and the screen is build in. But if want to "protect" them i must carry them in my hand laggage.

If for example I use a second metal suitcase with some sort of     foam plastic I could transport even a "normal" tower, but i dont know if all cards, drives would be to happy being transported as luggage via plane.

TL. DR.: is the a ruggedized version for gaming or a travel tower?
budget: 2000-4000

Feel free to suggest a solution ;) Thank you for your time

Something like a GS40 Phantom - or similar,is great for travel

even if a desktop is small you still need to carry, monitor, keyboard, power cables, etc and cannot be used on the go etc

so yeah a fat gaming laptop would be great for traveling. but they are loud and hot in longer periods of gaming. the question is how long are you at one place. because if you stay less than a month somewhere i would go with a laptop too. but if your setup will stay stationary for a couple month i would build an itx rig and maybe (depending where you go) buy a monitor at your destination. but you need to search for one with a removable stand.

if you build in something like a raven z rvz02 it should be quite durable. in addition you could put "glass handle with care" stickers all over your luggage. and i think cloth are enough for protection.

Desktop Build Log http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/486571-custom-wooden-case-with-lighting/#entry6529892

thinkpad l450, i5-5200u, 8gb ram, 1080p ips, 250gb samsung ssd, fingerprint reader, 72wh battery <3, mx master, motorola lapdock as secound screen

Please quote if you want me to respond and marking as solved is always appreciated.

Alienware 13 if you're playing casual games, or the the 15 if you want something with extra juice. Reason I'm suggesting them is because they're fairly futureproof due to being able to dock a GPU. However, I have the 15 and it's quite heavy, and one time I accidentally put the charger in the same pocket as the laptop and the plugs scratched away at the anodized aluminium :/ If you want to look cool, get a Razer Blade,

Carrying a tower with you in a bag is so impractical for so many reasons. For example, you're in a cafe and want to check your bank account, laptops are good for that. A tower is not.

And also, do not fall into the trap of buying a 4k screen with a laptop, it's worthless in the end unless you look at wallpapers all day.

And something that can cook your food, because Razer don't know how to cool a laptop or even build it well or have Quality control on them.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M
