Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X to release together

rm -rf

On the Intel Roadmap leaks that have hit the internet in the last fortnight, "we can also see listing for Kaby Lake-X, which comes with the same release timeframe as Skylake-X".

http://www.overclock3d.net/articles/cpu_mainboard/leaked_intel_roadmap_reveals_skylake-x_cpus_2017_release/1

Does anyone know if Intel has done this in the past, or any reasons why Intel would do this?

That would be....weird. Might pull another broadwell and just skip skylake-X for all but one or two chips.

Yeah, that seems probable, seing as their HEDT lineup is quite behind. Skylake was released in all their other line-ups before Broadwell-E.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

That's annoying, though their topic is a bit broader, I think this may still be okay. Though I completely understand if an admin removes this post though.
