the new update got released today and all the servers are down for me and i cant connect is this just me or are others witnessing it too?

Yep. That is how it usually is on update day. Rockstar is known for having crap servers.

Usually when less people are online.

click the arrow on the start bar by the clock, see the steam icon, right click and then exit steam, then re-open it....LOL ;)

OP are you getting the error message that says something to the effect of "unable to reach rockshit servers at this time..."

Servers are down right now or "Limited" <<Though it should just say down instead of that
