So I was just playing BF3 and the display driver crashed. Any way to fix this or just deal with it?

you can roll back to the older driver.  I played about 3 hours of BF3 today on the same driver and did not have an issue

Whatever tech is different from the 680 to the 780 is probably the cause GPU BOOST 2.0 maybe who knows if you have to play and it doesn't stop roll back the driver if that fixes it then wait a week or two then install again i've done it before.

I do not really want to roll back cuz wasn't the last drivers like really bad for GPUs and wrecked them?

That was for older cards mostly 560Ti's and GPUs that couldn't handle the optimization

All the drivers for the last year have had issues.

327.23 has so many issues I've lost count of them.

Desktop Freezing

mouse going wonky

Stuttering

black screens

BSOD

Flash video skipping and freezing

And many more listed on the Nvidia forums.

I had a working driver going but I forgot which one it was before I attempted to use the 327.33 disaster.

Nividia is trying to dethrone AMD for crappy drivers king.

500 series cards seem to be suffering the most though.

You can also try doing a completely clean install of the driver. I.e. removing the driver and installing it again.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Stick with working drivers and stay there, resist the urge to update.

Yeah just I like new fancy things (hence the 780)...

I don't really care for game recording myself but that my screen goes blank and me having to reboot the computer cause a F****** driver is just sad when I also lost 3 hours of unsaved gameplay  :(

Certainly. Just look at things like extreme microstutter on their dual GPU cards in the past and how long time that took to slightly improve ;)

I see no reason to hate on AMD myself either but generally saying (other than this crappy driver shit) nVidia seems to be more reliable and better then AMD...
