Hey Guys!!

So I have built 2 custom PCs over the last year ( One for me and one for my girlfriend ) and I have to say, I have became increasingly addicted go just tearing my rig down and putting it back together.

Today I came to the realisation my PS4 console is just laying around, waiting for the next exclusive to tempt me into playing it again...

Thats why I have decided to transfer all the components of my ps4 into a small to mid sized PC case.

1. To make it more personal and unique.

2. To increase airflow into the console to lower sound and heat emitted from it.

I am not even sure if this is remotely possible but I would love to pull something like this off!

Please if you guys have any tips/advice/warnings for me I would greatly appreciate it!

Cheers!

Warning: Taking your computer apart and putting it back together is a good way to break it. But I'll admit, it IS fun.

Advice: Good luck getting a PS4 (custom PCB) into a standard computer case. Maybe do some googling on the subject.

i7 4790k | MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition | G.Skill Ripjaws X 16 GB | Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB | 2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB | MSI GTX 970 Twin Frozr V | Fractal Design R4 | EVGA 650W

A gaming PC for your budget: $800 - $1000 - $1500 - $1800 - $2600 - $9001

But yeah, I still working out how I would mount the PCB. Tried searching on Google for ps4 Nodded cases and damn vinyl skins kept popping up :,)

Your probably going to want to create a backplate to mount inside the PS4 case to house everything, but for a PSU suggestion I would say something like this is perfect for your situation depending on hardware:

Someone did a build in an "already gutted when they got it" Xbox One and they had quite a few clearance issues. Getting the same amount of stuff into a PS4 would be really interesting. Unless maybe you're doing some sort of wicked mod to a laptop. In which case would likely have no issues and have plenty of room for "activities".

Huh pretty sure you didn't mean to quote me?

Anyways, I do pretty much the same I have an Xbox 360 and PS4, and want to get into PC gaming.

I think each has their advantages as well as disadvantages. But the argument against this current gen makes even more sense. The current consoles are basically neutered PCs. I mean they have APUs now. Which isn't a bad thing. But PCs have them too.
