Strange pop-ups after OCing

Newton R2 Power Supplies are decent at worst. So there's no reason to suspect those voltage readings. Use HWBOT to monitor temperatures and voltage readings and see if the suite is actually right about those. I suspect it's not - the computer would shut itself off before the CPU hit 120C, also if the 12V rail hit 0V.

 

Sounds like it's just a glitchy monitoring software.

Ok so first off, to get this out of the way, this is my rig:

 

E5-2670 @ 3.5GHz (106MHz BCLK) | Asus Rampage IV Formula | Crucial Ballistix 4x8GB 1696MHz | 
EVGA GTX 980ti SC | 1TB HDD + 120GB SSD | Fractal Design Newton R2 800W

 

Now for the issue, i always knew i wouldn't get much out of this chip but i got  lucky and it is stable on 106MHz and 1.15V (will try lower voltage when i have more time), but since i OCed, i've been getting strange pop-ups from the official ASUS software: AI Suite II

 

Got it from the official site for the mobo, it's a nice tool, but started showing things like these after i OCed my system:

Anyway, the system is stable, tested it out for a while and overall has no issues (might try and OC more in the future), but this is scaring me a bit, either something fucky is going on with my mobo or the software is tarded.

Have you tried reducing your OC?

Perhaps even removing it to see if the MOBO continues to complain?

Yes, get rid of it because the alarm isn't working. Which is your case: trust me, if those readings where actually true, your computer wouldn't be working right now.

Like i said, it started with the OC, thus i'm worried a bit. In the BIOS and other programs, everything is fine, it's just the official software

 

I can try, tho ofc it will stop complaining cause it must be something in the OC it doesn't like, since upping the BCLK OCes more than just the CPU

Except there is no fire and if there was one your computer would throttle to safety

The thing is, unless you see instability when you stress test, everything is fine. That's what stress tests are for.

actually, it's -120°C, which i wouldn't mind tbh, just more OC room :P 

 

But yeah, probably a glitch in the matrix. Either that or i made the most ECO friendly PC (0V on the 12V thing).
