Then yeah, it's obviously worth it. But why would you fuck your brother over like that?

Living in Canada, I sold my 2nd Ti the day after the 1080 announcement(hoping people wouldn't have heard about it yet) for $700 CAD, currently $550 USD. It was an EVGA Ti Hybrid. I feel as if both parties made out in the deal...

I have 3 1080 displays rotated verticals and playing in surround, so i need the better quality, not to mention the Simultaneous Multi Display, so I'm personally using that money to buy a 1080, and then either sell the second Ti, or use it as a ridiculous Physx card....

SMP is part of gameworks though...

Does your brother know that card will devalue so quick in a few weeks? Don't screw him lol.

And I assume you have read benchmark for the 1080, and only you can answer if it's worth it to spend money to get that 15%-20% increase ?

Id just sell the 980ti and buy 2x rx 480 just so i could have a cool sli configuration.

But if you really want to upgrade just go withe a 1070

No, a 1070 isnt going to be better than a 980 Ti OCed.

no way dude, its crazy too that many people are selling thier 980 ti to upgrade to 1080, wait for at least the 1080ti. i got my 980ti for $350 off craigslist so im just gonna buy another one and wait until the freaking gtx 1280ti comes out lmao

but i understand if you want the latest and greatest and if you have a way go for it but from what i seen its around 10-20 fps faster at 1080p and imo thats not worth it

20-30 more fps isn't worth it?

GTX 980 Ti has already fallen over £100 in price, they are under £500 currently, and will go even cheaper after the 1070 launches.

Besides the OP isnt asking which one to buy, he already has a 980 Ti so the cost of it has nothing to do with this.

Its barely 3% faster when the 980 Ti is overclocked:

Benchmarks lie.
