Overclock both, 7950 is the clear winner but need to look at the price. In my area, 7950 is around $80 more expensive.

Grab the 7950 with that never settle bundle makes it pretty hard to turn down, also do yourself a favor and grab at least 8g of some decent ram a cpu cooler and a slight OC even if your a novice amp it up a tiny bit free performance always a good idea.

GL and happy gaming

Seems like most people here don't realize what an HD 7870 XT is, in any case , I've seen the sapphire HD 7870 XT for 245$ a couple of times on amazon, it's back to it's regular 260$ price now, but if you happen to find it for less than 250$ then it's a steal, once the price difference between the cards becomes 40$ or less, the price/performance becomes almost identical and in that case I'd usually just opt for the more powerful option which is the HD 7950.
