Best "Headphones" for Entertainment & Gaming

AyyLmfao

Enough. I don't want any more 7.1 surround sound, no more headset advertisement for gaming. I want real, professional headphones. I am in need for replacement for my Logitech G430. It is a great headset and all, but now i'm considering a separate mic and headphone. My budget is >$300 AUD. I've been considering the Audio Technica At2020 USB+ for my daily driver (thoughts please) but I am yet to consider a headphone for my needs. Recommend any Audio Technica headphones or Sennheiser ones?

Also I am in need of a webcam. Been thinking of buying a Logitech C920 Pro. Any thoughts?

Sennheiser Orpheus, since you say >300AUD

jk if you're getting into Audiophile Headphone you gotta be spesific, do you want like good bass, or good mid high low, etc

-_-

As long it has good quality, and I can be able to locate the enemy's footsteps.

then you're not listening to song, best i can get for "Gaming" Headset with "Audiophile" quality is Sennheiser G4ME, i would recommend getting the ONE since it has Open Design giving more "Realistic" Audio

AT2020 is a great option for a mic

For sound, perhaps some beyerdynamics dT880s or something along those lines

the C920 is probably the best webcam around atm

I might consider buying it, buuuuttt, I do like to enjoy music. I'm not too good about what does what with audio. I need crisp, clear sound and amazing quality for music, entertainment and gaming. I mean you can tell me if the G4ME Zero has the specifications I'm looking for. Ever tried Audio Technica?

It's past my price range. I think I recall saying "AUD." I'm building a pc soon, and I'm buying a dxracer nitro chair as well, I'm afraid I don't have too much money to spend.

DT770s? they are like $218 AUD

https://www.storedj.com.au/products/BEY-DT770PRO

M50x are also good for $185

 https://www.storedj.com.au/products/AUD-ATHM50XBK

Could you fit either of those into your budget? im not sure what the best AUS stores are to look at

The AT2020 is only $100 so you could easily get something good like the above

Pretty sure you said DT880s :P. I don't like the M50x though, heard it didn't have a good soundstage.

I did before, but I changed it to 770s since they are much cheaper, and still great sounding

Judge headphones for yourself if you can, every headphone has its lovers and haters and there is no right and wrong

but I do think the beyers are better (assuming you can fit it into your budget)

Also DX Racer chairs - try and sit in one before you buy it, im not massively into "gaming chairs" some are badly built or uncomfy

your best solution is to go to phyiscal store that can provide testing

The only store is JB-HIFI and Dick Smith, although Dick Smith is overpriced asf. I don't know if they provide testing.

Yes they are closed, but using open headphones with a condenser mic is a NO NO - everyone will hear is game through the mic

Heck people sometimes hear my music/games through my closed headphones coming over my mic

the AT2020 is very sensitive, you can whisper in another room and it will pick it up, open headphones are a BAD idea with any sensitive mics

Desktop - Corsair 300r i7 4770k H100i MSI 780ti 16GB Vengeance Pro 2400mhz Crucial MX100 512gb Samsung Evo 250gb 2 TB WD Green, AOC Q2770PQU 1440p 27" monitor Laptop Clevo W110er - 11.6" 768p, i5 3230m, 650m GT 2gb, OCZ vertex 4 256gb,  4gb ram, Server: Fractal Define Mini, MSI Z78-G43, Intel G3220, 8GB Corsair Vengeance, 4x 3tb WD Reds in Raid 10, Phone Oppo Reno 10x 256gb , Camera Sony A7iii

I use speakers for single player games, but when I am gaming online with friends I use a headset/headphones so they dont just hear my game sound - also when recording anything etc

or if gaming late

When in doubt, go witb HD600/650 or fidelio x2.

I rarely meet people who just start listening to good headphones and say they dont like the sound of either of these headphones

I'm leaning towards the HD8 DJ Headset. I've seen physical stores like JB-HIFI where the headphone is almost $500, but StoresDJ sell for $350. Thoughts? @xtroria @ShadowCaptain @spwath

Not worth the money. B&W P7 is a better option or momentun over-ear mk.2
