nope, you are pretty much fine with any I5

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Worry about getting a 1440p 144hz / Ultrawide or 4k monitor before you worry about your CPU. Also, if you don't have any of the ones I've mentioned, you could stick to a 1070 and get the same performance at a much lower price.
