PG27AQ or PG279Q

I've been saving up for a new build, and buying it part by part. Can someone please tell me if the the PG27AQ is something that is worth buying over the PG279Q which has been in the market longer.

What graphics card are you using?

I'm planning on powering it on a 980 matrix, and if I save enough a strix or gigabyte 1080

I would go for the 1070 or 1080 and lay off the 980

 

For that I would advise the 1440p one so the PG279Q should handle fine

the PG27AQ just has too high pixel density to use with windows.

So none of the windows up till now can give a satisfactory 4k exp?

it can but the monitor needs to be 32" at least or you have to use display scaling which is just terrible in windows.

27" 4K may have smaller text at 100% scaling, but man does it look beautiful at 150% scaling.

 

But most games don't have enough in the assets department to make 4K look appreciably better at 27" anyway. Though this might be because games are designed with a fixed light field, if you will, so the only way to see more is to be bigger.
