If power isn't a concern (even tho the diffrence isn't that big) go with the cheaper option u don't need more than the 980ti will be able to give u. And a big plus its way cheaper

firstly, wait till the cheaper cards come in with custom coolers to see what prices will do.. Then it's a price to performance trade off. Either are fully capable at that res.

I'd wait to see what board partner 1070s go for, then decide between the 980ti and the 1070 based on price and how much use the ti has since it might be worth a little (though not 200+ euros like the 1080) for a new card

Edit: Otherwise 980ti since the price difference is too high, and 1080 is overkill for 1080p

in the Eu

This will probably take a while the 1080 isn't available either and I think u'll be overpaying in the beginnen considering that that has always been the cause in the EU

In europe I have no clue, in the US it's release june 10th so how long did it take the 1080 to become available in your area after the US release(US was may 27th btw)

The 1080 is still inthe pre-order phase and if I have to believe the stuff on some websites it will take over 2 weeks to ship

Edit: In NL that is

Well then that's 3 weeks after launch more or less, so first/second week of july is most likely when it will come out for the EU

That would be considered fast the 980ti was 5 weeks late. And even then the prices were sky high
