case screws don't match

So I got a used case:

and bought some new fans cause it didn't come with those...

So I was trying to get the 2 120's in the front spots sucking in. Turns out I can only fit 1 on the lower braket cause they stick out 25mm.

What's really getting me down is the screws that it came with vs what fits the hole and the access to the hole. The cougar screws are the standard big thread cutting screws but the hole is like a 3mm fine thread hole. Is there like a converter? The hole in the fans is like 5mm so that space would need to get filled. 

 

I can post a picture of the screws but I'm sure you're all familiar with the standard taping mount screws

If your case is tapped for threaded screws you will need to get some 6-32 threaded screws at 1-1/8'" long
