at what point though do you think the temps will effect my game or my cpu? a have a fx 6300 oc to 4.1 ghz

The max temp for that card is 98c (from the GeForce website.) so as long as its below that it won't effect your game. But 83c is the "happy number" for nvidia cards where they all seem to cap out. And the 6300 is an okay cpu so if anything the CPU may already be bottlenecking in some games. Only way to tell is to look at benchmarks for the card with a different cpu listed.

anything below 90C is safe

recommended to stay below 83C

for a 960? 90c seems really high.

thats the max safe temps for an nvidia GPU

so anything below that is safe

90c is 10 degrees below boiling water. its a safe number to stay below. Most cards will thermal throttle (drop speed to lower temps) before you need to worry about it. 70c is fine.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/
