What charity should I raise money for?

I am looking at charity's to raise some money for and want some input, I am currently considering the Red Cross. Ideas?

I would look into some local charity groups. Look into groups helping the homeless, the disabled or the poor in your area. 

 

Red Cross is also a good organisation to donate to, but I think youyr money would be more appriciated in a local group.

Go for one that has some meaning to you.

I've always loved dogs so when I did a bike ride form London to Brighton last year I donated the money I raised to Battersea Dog's Home and Dog's Trust. My brother did a lot of work with his rugby club to raise money for a local hospice which took care of one of their teammates before he died of testicular cancer a while back.

If you can't think of one, donate to one that is appealing for urgent funds, like a humanitarian aid project in Syria, or some of the various charities that aim to get people in Africa safe drinking water that Stephen Fry has been tweeting about.

local charity is your best bet. plus, why wouldnt you want to help out your community? just dont do charity out of spite or self-righteousness. people like that grind my gears. so remember why you do what you're doing.
