To answer the topic question though. I use ruTorrent on a repurposed computer on my network that also doubles as a NAS server.

Used to use Utorrent but that is essentially cancerous at the time of writing this so I moved over to qBittorent

Yeah, before I setup ruTorrent on a remote pc. I stopped updating utorrent at like 2.2.x. Before that, it was fine. But started going downhill pretty quick imo.

deluge is the best client I have used so far, and even has a very useful command-line client you can use via ssh on a vps to avoid any trouble from your ISP if you have the need to be careful. uTorrent is trash, they've shipped malware themselves and accidentally through ads before, have been bought by sketchy companies a few times the past decade and have caved in to MPAA pressure, and more than likely sell your usage data to any buyer with enough money.

uTorrent is an absolute junk.

I use qBittorrent, but can also recommend Deluge.

From salty to bath salty in 2.9 seconds

I used BitTorrent in the past and its ok. 

 

 

It was for a wallpaper dump that was 20gb, no hate.

Simplest / cleanest torrent client I have used up to date.

Just make sure what you agree to in the installer.

It will try to install all kinds of junk if you're not careful.

Went from BitComet to uBittorrent to Deluge and now I'm happy user of qBittorrent.
