Paint a drive?

Can I paint the casing of a 5.25" Disc Drive?  e.g: DVD Writer.  Of course taking care not to get any paint on the SATA ports with tape and whatnot.  My case doesn't entirely hide the rear of my drive and I just want to camouflage into the case a bit more.  Just let me know if that's a possibility or will it ruin my drive beyond repair?

Are you talking about the front plate? I think you can take those off with some careful prying/unscrewing.

just cover all the small holes before painting

Yeah it's doable, ideally if you can take it apart to paint that would be best but if you were to carefully mask off the connections and make sure no paint got inside that would work.

Just cover any holes in it. Also, you might not be able to remove some stickers, 'cause some of them stands for the warranty
