Hey. You know how Linus went to pax prime and computex? How would I come about finding about events like this so I can sign up to go? Are there any websites that let you know when theres gonna be a tech event somewhere? Or is there any events that happen yearly in  the united states? I just want to go to a tech event but I never have any near me and I never hear about any. How would I come about hearing about these events?

I don't think there is a "hub" to find out about them. Just do some googling and go to each event's website. Off the top of my head:

PAX East, Prime, Aus, and Dev

E3

Quakecon

Computex

CES

Lots o' LAN parties/festivals, most notably Dreamhack

BlizzCon, The Intenational, Intel Extreme Masters, MLG?. Intel has some sort of smaller LAN series LANFest tms which has many events during year. Computer Power User mag does coverage of them. Best way is to check out local fair centers calendar for events. Most lans, since they focus on gaming/tech, have some stands from sponsors atleast.

I know even more events in EU...

You wont be finding any of the big expos in your neck of the woods. Most of them will be in either Vegas, Los Angeles or somewhere across the world.

Like said, look for event calendar on local fair & conference centers. Most smaller events don't have any or little coverage over internet/mags. Lan events are good since they usually have tech sponsors who will have booths to show recent stuff.
