Steam stats...

Have you even noticed the big "drop" steam has in there "logged in users" at around 16:00 - 17:00 almost everyday ?

Always thought about it when I have visited their store. Any one got a clue on why this is, as it seems to every single day...

 

Could there be some country that just cuts the internet connection for 10 min ?

Maybe steam is taking down just one server everyday for maintains?

 

This is a random thing, I know, but I think it's sort of strange.

Possibly the time when the Steam self updater is sending the first batch of prompts to download the new update, considering it's the same time every day, and the users are back just a moment later.

Is this when school starts for children in america. The periodic drop is when they are pretending to be sick to get the day off from school to play video games. But then again this is steam not Xbox live.

I usually get a update every week, not every day. And I get Beta updates, too.

Interesting, iirc I get tiny updates that requires restarts just about every day. (Haven't used Steam in quite a while though).
